When it comes to British rugby royalty, few names command as much respect as Lawrence Dallaglio OBE. His British & Irish Lions career stands as one of modern rugby's most distinguished. Dallaglio showed formidable leadership on the field and now serves as a true ambassador off it.
Dallaglio earned selection for three separate Lions tours — South Africa in 1997, Australia in 2001, and New Zealand in 2005. The 1997 tour was particularly memorable, playing a vital role in the Lions' famous series victory against the Springboks. His physicality, tactical intelligence and sheer willpower were central to that historic success.
In 2001, Dallaglio was once again instrumental as the Lions faced a talented Wallabies side in Australia. Though the team narrowly lost the series, Dallaglio consistently delivered outstanding performances. He brought intensity to every match and scored a key try, cementing his status in the squad. An injury ended his 2005 tour, but he secured his Lions legacy with three Test caps and a lasting impact.

That fire will carry straight into the Autumn Nations Series, as England take on the Wallabies on 1st November at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham. This historic fixture echoes the 2001 tour, when Dallaglio, Greenwood, Healey, and teammates faced a formidable Australian side.
